Went there for lunch. Owner is the cook so it's great in my book. Reuben was fantastic, nice, thin corned beef as it should be. Good fries. Good menu selections for lunch.

I just love their Chicken Balls! I never have room for dessert when I get to eat there so I get gob cake to go. You have to try it. 😍😍. Today I got banana cake. ❤️❤️

I found this tavern based on Google reviews while traveling through the area. Glad we stopped. My husband loves the chicken balls at Thunder in the Valley - but we didn't realize that this is the restaurant that makes them. I had a bunless loaded bacon double cheeseburger - very good. They had a good selection of entrees and sandwiches. The servers were very friendly and kept our iced tea glasses filled and the prices were good. We'll definitely return.
