One of the only Chinese restaurants that allows dine in eating, that isn’t a buffet. I’m tired of the over steamed food in a to go container. I wanted freshly made food on the table, and this is the only place I know of in the Johnstown area. The beef and broccoli was excellent! Beef cho cho was very good as well. I’ve had the General Tso’s and it was really good. The hot mustard here is excellent.

Quick edit from 2022 - Szechuan East is under new ownership. I have eaten there and gotten takeout a few times since the changeover and it's fine, but not what it once was. New folks don't seem as friendly and the food is not as good as when the original family ran the place. Original review (from 2018) Szechuan East rocks! This is the family / staff from the original Szechuan Restaurant downtown (Sam and family retired, so downtown is under new ownership). Excellent food & quick service. Great vegetarian options.
