It is an absolute gem tucked away in the hills of upstate New York. Lakeview is very clean, well maintained, each year the venue continues to improve their features and grounds. I would highly recommend it to anyone getting married for the service and reception.

We can’t say enough about Lakeview!! It’s an absolutely beautiful location, the property is gorgeous and very well maintained. Above all else, Scott and Joyce are absolutely amazing!! They worked all day and night to ensure our day was awesome. Unfortunately it rained the day of our wedding, but they were on top of everything and helped change things on a dime. It was a perfect day!! Joyce was also very responsive in the months leading up to our wedding. I highly recommend this venue!!

My wife and I got married here this past weekend and we couldn't recommend it enough. Joyce and Scott are great and the venue is absolutely beautiful! Being able to select our own caterers and alcohol is a huge plus and helped keep everything affordable. The spaces to get ready were awesome as well. We couldn't have picked a better venue!

My daughter was married at Lakeview Events Center this past August. Lakeview was wonderful in so many ways, but I will focus on the place and the people. This venue is located in Laurens, NY, not far from Oneonta and is owned and managed by Scott and Joyce Beach. The property has a large and lovely lodge, a huge tent, a separate building with dressing rooms and restrooms, a gazebo, pavilion, and, of course, the lake. We took full advantage of the lodge, using the main room, large porch and patio for both the rehearsal dinner and the post ceremony cocktail hour. The wedding party dressing rooms, as well as the rest rooms are located in their own building. Both the women's and the men's dressing rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The rest rooms are large, modern and spotless. My daughter chose to have her ceremony on a plateau overlooking the lake. It is a lovely spot indeed, but looking around the property, there are a number of sites that could be used. I expect that the gazebo is one of the most popular spots. The lake is stunning, which I guess is the reason the venue is named Lakeview. Still it is the whole package, the manicured lawns, the orchard, the vineyard, etc. that makes this such a picturesque place. My well traveled brother remarked that is one of the most beautiful places that he has seen. Even though we were blessed with a beautiful day, we spent a lot of time in the tent. Actually calling it a tent does not do justice. There is a permanent hard floor and a rigid metal frame that supports the flexible roof and retractable walls. There is plenty of room for dining, a dance floor, the DJ's setup, etc. We had about 160 guests, but there would have been room for many more Scott and Joyce Beach were helpful at every step. When we first toured the venue, we were simply shown the property and features with no pressure. The owners let the amenities speak for themselves. We reserved our date right after our tour. Joyce provided us with a list of local vendors (caterers, photographers, DJ's florists, etc.) who have a good track record in providing services to prior customers. We relied heavily on this list and were not disappointed with any of our choices. Joyce likes to meet with the bride and groom a week or so before the wedding to go over details such as the arrangement of tables, the location of the dance floor, DJ or band set up, caterer requirements, etc. Joyce does not hold herself out to be a wedding planner, but for anyone who, like us, is doing all their own planning, it is great to have someone like her in your corner. I strongly encourage anyone planning a wedding or event in the area to put Lakeview on your short list of venues.
