Cool bakery inside a barn, plenty of parking. You can pre-order or buy walk-up on certain days. We tried the French bread, some croissants, and some scones. The bread is perfect, the croissants yummy and buttery, the scones were good...not as flavorful as expected. Will try the pre-order program next to save gas.

Above and beyond We arrived at Tinder Hearth after a great kayak trip in Castine. The food is as good as it gets in the wood fired pizza world, with fresh salads and warm cookies. However, the food is not what I will remember best when looking back on this day. I had foolishly locked my keys in the rental car. Hour after hour we waited for the rental car agency to find us a tow service. All the while the staff at Tinder Hearth tried to help us, even offering to drive us the 1 hour back to Lincolnville. Their hearts were open to us in need, and it made all the difference. We were blessed to have such care given us by everyone including the owners. Can’t sing enough praises! (BTW we got a local gentleman to access our vehicle later in the evening.)

Well the review has o start with morning coffee eating a cinnamon roll and me daughter ate a chocolate croissant. YUM! The beauty of the place was the people, both employed and waiting in line, and the building was heavily under construction. Hence my experience not typical! I can’t wait to get pizza!

Wonderful bakery and gardens with pizza on certain nights. The pizza was fantastic. You should call ahead a few days in advance to reserve your pizzas for the night they will have them. They have picnic tables and you can get salads and drinks like wine, beer and water. The croutons on the salads were spectacular! Dessert was ice cream chocolate chip cookie sandwiches that were amazing...the ice cream was so good! The staff was super nice and friendly. This place is truly special.

It's a busy place with one phone line. Try again in an hour or two.

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

We follow the Maine CDC guidelines for foodservice. The staff are always masked and we have strict sanitation protocols. If a staff member experiences an event with potential for exposure outside of work, they quarantine and get tested before returning to work. All of our service is curbside. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions!

Hello Kim- Thanks for checking in about this! We do not currently invite dogs except for service animals. We did in the past and, unfortunately for our responsible furry friends, we had problems.

We make bread, pastries, and pizza year-round. Our pizza nights move inside with the weather, and get considerably smaller. We sometimes close for a few weeks mid-winter. I hope that helps!
