The are very not nice to big family with large dogs. We have four dogs and we tried to keep them how we usually have them and they said that we can't have four dogs with us and that they were barking a lot but they only barked when a other dog barked and when we were away from our camper and then they started on the way we keep our dogs in our camp side and said that we were going all out fencing but we have it so we can control our dogs. So if I could I would give them a rating of zero.

My wife is a travel nurse and we stayed here for 8 weeks while she worked in Merrillville. We stayed in spot #127 up the back of the park. It was beautifully shaded, spacious and was very quiet. The lot is right in front of a water treatment plant which is the only down side. It smelled a little funky only a handful of times but not enough to cause any bother. The park had a great atmosphere and we found it very friendly. The park is about 90% lot owners and 10% rentals. We made friends with many of the lot owners. They were always willing to give a helping hand and share some beer haha. The bathrooms were always clean when we visited them I’d rate them 7/10. Overall a decent place.

If I could I wouldn't even give 1 star. An employee by the name of Violet told us we can take our side by side as long as it's driven slow. We got there and they wouldn't even let us on the property with it even after saying we wouldn't drive it. So my question is, where were we supposed to leave it? Had to cancel our whole family weekend. The last 1 we had this year due to work. And to top it off, we were looking to buy. Terrible experience and won't be back.

We rented 2 trailer's. On the first day we got there there was water main break. My parents trailer smelled like an odd house. Even with Febreese and burning incense. There was no hot water just warm water. No microwave, overall it was dirty. In mine under the pull out couch. There was an bag of open chips. The floor has dried dirt, the microwave was out dated it had to be from the early 80s if not late 70s. It didn't heat up water because there was only 10 gallons of water and I needed to do dishes. So instead of using that water I tried to heat it up. Warm water was used. The shower in both trailers were not powerful. The bathtub drain didn't go down so you're standing in dirty water. The rug didn't have a rubbery backside so I slipped on that. The mirror still had the last guests toothpaste splattered. The mattress cover was filthy. Now the beach. Someone needs to go out there and pick up the mess that people leave. I know it's not right that people think it's their own backyard and they thing they have the right to leave the mess for someone else to do it. It would not hurt to comb the beach in the morning so that sticks are not buried in the sand and poking your foot as you walk back. When quite time is a certain time THAT RULE APPLIES TO EVERYONE. Lucky we had the AC on but heard from people on the beach that on Fri night the party didn't stop until after 2am. Drunk people singing karaoke and because they were drunk they were slurring the songs. Screaming laughing. These people had small children and their were in tent's. For what we paid it was nice to get away but I wish the campground was better maintained throughout the entire place.
