The Billing issues with this company is atrocious. Been nothing but a headache when it comes to their website AND even when I call in. The rate for the bill doubles randomly or is super high compared to when I first got their service. I don't recommend them

Professional, quality service from field workers who back into our long drive. Interactions with Kim in the main office have been helpful and timely.

After years of having this company service our trash needs in our rental home, we thought switching it once we bought the house would be a breeze. And though it was at first, it quickly became frustrating after having issues with paying online through their site, extra charges for a pickup we did not request, double billing, and lastly our bill doubling to an astronomical $124.39/ month for trash pickup (without cause or notice!) while their local competitor only charges $55 for the same services! Also, strangely enough when a neighbor called for a quote the day before, he was given the same $60/month figure we were given so we still don't understand the sudden price hike. I would not recommend this company to my friends and neighbors and would suggest you watch your bill closely if you do use them....

Please call 800-CASELLA to schedule a pickup if you have large materials that do not fit inside your curbside container.
No. Do not place your Zero-Sort recycling into bags. It is preferable that your recyclables be placed directly into your Zero-Sort recycling container.
Items made of plastic, which include laundry baskets, 5-gallon pails, plastic chairs and general household items.
No. Plastic bags or films of any kind are not accepted in Zero-Sort recycling. To recycle grocery bags, please bring them to a participating grocery or retail store near you.
Zero-Sort recycling is Casella's state-of-the-art process, which enables all recyclables - paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal cans to be collected in one container eliminating the need for you to separate recyclables.
Recyclables should be rinsed clean of any food waste. Corrugated cardboard boxes should be broken down into 18" x 18" max pieces. Lids and caps can remain on empty plastic bottles. DO NOT tie newspaper or cardboard with twine.
Yes. Items that can't be recycled should be tossed into your trash container. Your Zero-Sort recycling container is for recyclables only - paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal cans. Please do not place any trash items in your Zero-Sort recycling container as this can cause contamination.
Our billing is monthly so if you have any service during the month you will be billed for the entire month.
Please store all hazardous waste, including batteries, in a safe place in your home until there is a rescheduled household hazardous waste day in your community. It is very important that household hazardous waste NOT be disposed of as regular waste in your bin.
Unfortunately, there is no set time. Please place containers at the curb the night before your scheduled pickup day.
Great question! On many of our routes, Casella operates what are known as split-body trucks. With a split-body truck, the trash and Zero-Sort recycling are dumped into the same opening on the truck but are separated by different compartments. These modernized vehicles keep the trash and recycling separate and facilitate the collection of both materials on the same trip.
We will still be collecting your waste and your recycling separately at this time, and there is no anticipated change in your level of service.
No. Trash containers are intended for municipal solid waste (household trash) only. For disposing of construction debris please call 800-CASELLA to discuss renting a dumpster.
The guidance we have received from OSHA is that regular waste generated in a household where someone has been diagnosed with the coronavirus is to be handled as we manage all waste, following normal safety precautions and wearing personal protective equipment that all of our drivers and helpers have on daily. There will not be a change in your service, and we wish you well.
Please bag all of your waste materials and put the bags in your container. We request that you not bag your recyclables, as it creates issues for our recycling center sorting lines.
Please store all hazardous waste, including batteries, in a safe place in your home until there you feel safe going to the transfer station. It is very important that household hazardous waste NOT be disposed of as regular waste in your bin.
At this time, there are no anticipated service changes to your normal collection schedule. We will alert you via a phone call or message if there will be changes in the future.
If you mean demo type stuff you would have to order a dumpster or hire a worker.
