CMP actually stands for "Central Mafia Power". These people will shake you down hundreds of dollars monthly and are quick to shut your power off if you're a day late on your payment, even during the winter time when people rely on energy to heat their houses. Far more concerned about generating revenue than they are about helping people (you know unless you're rich) . Like I live in a trailer, just a regular mobile home with your average amount of appliances... and my bill for this month was $260! My dad who owns an entire 3 story house in mass pays 1/3 the amount I do!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Overcharging monthly by DOUBLE the amount, wanting 2 months of bills upfront or they shut you off, not to mention the customer service reps are rude as hell.

This company has repeatedly shown that greed is the driving force behind every decision they make, with absolutely no regard for the people that they serve. The customer service operators will tell you the most outrageous lies, just to draw attention away from the fact that they are ripping off the customers. And being a monopoly in the state, we have no other choice... I would say they should be ashamed of themselves, but it's clear that they don't care

This company is another reason why young people want to leave Maine. My electric bill for a one bedroom apartment has always been around $50 per month and now all the sudden it jumped up to $126. I’d love to see the rats in this company try and work a low wage job while struggling to afford heavily inflated utility bills on top of all the other bills that rich bosos like you have increased out of greed.

Just call and twll they you want to set up services at the address if not it will still be your old roomates responsibility
Need an online CMP account to see your past bills. That's what I do. However you could probably also call them and they could mail you one or email one to you.
No, unfortunately, CMP cannot check any inside appliances or equipment. They are only responsible for the outside meter and line from the pole to the house.
