The one person working in optical tonight was excellent. This one star rating is for the manager who created a staffing issue where the only person working in optical ended up dealing with over 10 people waiting for help. The employee did the best they could given the circumstances, but several people still ended up walking away because of how long it was taking. This is the manager's fault and the responsibility lies with her to ensure such things do not happen. This is how companies lose good employees. Fix the staffing issues, even if it means management comes in and covers to help out.

Good prices lured me in, but the staff was incredibly unhelpful. The staff refused to call my insurance to sort out whatever needed to be covered, and insisted I do it. I have very little understanding of how these processes work, so I insisted that they help. They again refused, stating my insurance was impossible to deal with and that they charge money every time they call. Went back to my local eye doctor and not only saved money but received service from competent, helpful people. The rest of Costco is just fine, but avoid the optical department.
