Danielle and Janet were extremely helpful during my divorce. It was an extremely professional experience with great communication, and a helpful presence that gave peace of mind knowing they were working on my behalf.

I received exceptional service from both Bill and his office staff. What made his team stand out from the rest was their knowledge, experience, compassion, and honesty. I felt Bill truly cared about my children and fought for their best interest. My monthly statement reflected many ‘no charge’ emails and phone calls so I was always comfortable contacting them with any questions or concerns. Family court is stressful enough and I appreciated the ease of communication. I would highly recommend Bill and his team.

Danielle Linker was highly recommended to me from my former well known divorce attorney. I called and explained to her my case. I needed a strong, smart fighter in my corner as my ex-husband was trying to get full custody of our special needs son who was almost 18. We had already had a 3111 court ordered evaluation completed with orders not in the best interest of our son. Long story short Danielle went to court for me and was able convince the Judge to not go to a long trial and to keep orders as is! If you have a chance to meet with Danielle, you too will feel and know her confidence!

Mr. Razo recently represented me in a post-judgement trial that concluded in almost 3 times the support I was originally awarded, as well as, my ex having to pay a LARGE amount of my attorney fees. Mr. Razo is professional, prepared, compassionate, and thorough. He responds promptly to emails, phone calls and is always knowledgeable about my case. I never felt like just another client. While I cannot promise the same outcome in any other case, I can promise that if Mr. Razo is representing you, you will have the best chance with him as your attorney. I am HIGHLY recommending Bratton, Razo & Lord for any of your Family Law needs.

Questions & Answers

Hello My daughter has run into some issues with her current lawyer when trying to retain custody of her two children (father is a deadbeat). Do you take cases pertaining to child custody issues and could we go over our situation before hiring you?

Once we’re divorced, how is our marital property going to get divided?

This is a really challenging aspect of any divorce. California is a community property state. That means any assets and debts the two of you have will be considered to have been jointly acquired, so the court will want them to be divided evenly. Now, let’s say you’ve got some assets that you think belong to you only and not your spouse, and don’t want them to be included in that division process. Then what happens if the two of you disagree on what should be defined as joint property? The solution is to find a skilled family law attorney to review your circumstances before you head into court.

How will child support payments get determined during my divorce?

California has guidelines to help judges figure out the amount of child support a parent should be obligated to pay after a divorce. But keep one thing in mind: the courts have plenty of discretion on this, so it’s really important to present the judge with as much evidence as possible about your economic circumstances and what you expect your household finances will be after the divorce. That’s a key reason to find an experienced family law attorney, someone who knows how to help you put together the right kind of documentation, from tax returns to paycheck stubs, to make your case.
