Super fun time at Charlie's Acres with the whole family... 8 month old, 2.5 year old, parents, and grandparents all enjoyed our time with Gustavo and the residents. Super educational, contagious passion, and just a lovely time. Gustavo and the animals were so wonderful and gentle with our 2.5 year old. Highly recommend!

Charlie's Acres was amazing! Amber led our group and explained how the different animals came to live at the rescue. The sanctuary was pristine, and the staff and volunteers were so friendly and helpful. So bring a vegan picnic, make a donation, and enjoy all the special friends at Charlie's Acres!

We had so much fun at Charlie's Acres. Our 5 and 2 yo loved petting the goats and feeding the cows. Our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all our questions, even the hard ones from my girls about why the animals needed saving... The animals all had a lot of space to roam and well taken care of. The perfect length for a kids tour, I would highly recommend this place to anyone with kids or animal lovers.

Amazing tour of the sanctuary!! The guide was very informative about the animal's history and preferences. My partner and I eat meat and the guide never judged us for it; she just shared details of the mistreatment many of the animals were able to escape as well as the importance of proper animal care.. All the animals were very welcoming, which shows how much love they must receive while staying here. This was such an amazing experience and well worth the drive to Napa/Sonoma for the first time.
