This review is strictly about the concierge and maintenance staff. Billy the concierge is excellent. Always helpful and accommodating. Need more people like Billy at the front desk! Corey in maintenance is the man. He will take care of whatever needs to be done and is extremely quick. He will go above and beyond to help out the tenants. Both are extremely friendly and make living here much better!

I truly enjoy my apartment at Avalon Great Neck. All staff members are wonderful and helpful. However this year at lease renewal, the leasing office decided to increase my 1 bedroom apartment's rent by $700 per month which is a 25% increase. I am a health care worker who works hard for my community especially during the pandemic. This huge increase in my rent is causing me and my family significant anxiety daily and a big burden on our budget. I spoke with the leasing office and tried to plead my case. However they told me that the current rental market is very hot and they need to increase my rent to reflect the market rate in the area. I wish they can take into account that we are all people who has family and need a place to live so that we can go to work everyday. Sometimes it is not just about money and the max amount of rent you can charge someone to make the most profit. There is a relationship involved and a human aspect also. Just like medicine and see sick patients in the hospital, it should really be more than just money. I probably will loose the home I love at Avalon Great Neck because of this huge increase in rent that I cannot afford anymore despite being a hardworking health care worker. I am going to miss everyone and all the wonderful staffs here in the community. I only wish the company can have a heart and more compassion for hard working people who truly wants to be part of this community.

My family and I have been living in the Avalon Great Neck for almost 2 years and we have only had great experiences. The staff are always super friendly and attentive to us. Billy at concerige desk is always so kind to myself and my children and assists us with all of our needs. Corey that is part of the matinence team is has been helpful when we have issues in the apartment. He immediately helps in fixing the issue and make sure everything is fine before he leaves . We love living in the building.

I have been a resident at the Avalon for 3 years and I have never met such a helpful, hard working and kind staff member; always willing to go the extra mile for ever resident at the Avalon as Billy does. I am sure everyone can agree that Billy is great and makes everyones day brighter by greeting everyone that walks through the door with the biggest smile. Thank you for all you do for all of us here at the Avalon!
