It was only 10 minutes away from where we needed to be, our dog was allowed. It was a place to sleep and no one bothered us. The rooms were clean, some maintenance issues mostly just paint and patches.

Do NOT book here!!!! They will screw up your booking and then charge you more to fix it. I never leave bad reviews but this was crazy. While we waited to get it squared away 2 other groups of people came in with complaints, including one person claiming there was someone else already in the room they were staying in. The guy at the counter was rude and basically said too bad, what are you gonna do. STAY AWAY, go to the motel 6 across the street

Positive: Convenience Negative: I got to the room and they gave me a room with two small beds, also tried charging my card again to get a different room without my permission, front desk was extremely rude

If I could give zero stars, I would. Dropped our stuff in the room around 5pm and then quickly left for an event- weren't even in the room more than a minute. Arrived back at hotel around 11pm. In the room for less than 5 minutes and knew we needed to be switched immediately. Exposed wires sticking out of wall/ outlets (I'm presuming were live since it was the only outlet near the beds/night stand), bedding was definitely dirty, chunks of paint falling/peeling off walls (not just spots needing to be repainted, but literally peeling off the walls in chunks bigger than my hand), bathtub was disgusting. Not to mention the smell- nasty. Even in a non smoking room, it smelled as if we were sitting in the middle of the smoking section of a restaurant in the 90's. Can't open windows and the ac didn't move much air, so it was stagnant. I have a pretty strong stomach and was a former smoker for years, but it was so bad it made me nauseous. I couldn't imagine trying to get a nights rest and feel safe, or clean for that matter. The phone didn't work, so we walked down to the front desk. The guy at the front desk came and looked after we complained and agreed to move us to a different room. Got everything moved and it was no better, aside from no exposed wires in this room. 1145 at that point, so we quickly booked a room at Hampton Inn across the street- thankfully they had a room available for check in for Friday and Saturday night. We would've found a public parking lot and slept in our car over night if we had to, just needed to get off the Red Roof Inn property- sketchy people in the parking lot didn't make you feel safe at all. We did notice 3 different police cars parked in surrounding parking lots (upon initial check in and when we got back later), all seemed to be casing the place out- made sense given the guests staying there. I don't have an issue with lower budget or not up to date hotels, since we aren't even really there much when we visit Springfield MA a few times throughout the year, but this was completely not safe. Attempted to call the hotel many times within the following week. Kept being told the manager wasn't there. Finally was able to speak to him. Kindly explained my concern and hoped for at least a partial refund, but he was VERY rude and refused to do anything and then hung up on me- I was not swearing, yelling, or anything (although I absolutely wanted to), so there was zero reason to be hung up on. I wouldn't even pull into their parking lot again, let alone think about staying there. Awful. Only good thing I have to say is that the location was easy to find and convenient. Spend a few more dollars and go elsewhere- don't put your family in this environment.
