Jazz accented church outside at 5 pm on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The altar inside was spotlighted by the setting sun. Compline is one of my favorite services.

Quaint older little church by the beach. I haven't been there for service but a group of us volunteer for NAMI, National Allience on Mental Illness. NAMI holds a community meeting there every other month. I will say that there isn't a lot of parking so arrive early!

What is Rite 1 and what is Christian Formation in your Sunday Services. Looking for a more contemporary service.

Great questions, thank you so much for asking! Rite 1 uses traditional language in the Mass, while Rite 2 uses contemporary language. Christian Formation is like Sunday School and is held between the 8:00 am and 10:00 am Masses. Children and youth go to their age appropriate classrooms to learn about the day's lesson. During this time adults also have the opportunity to learn about more in depth topics at the Adult Forum. Here is a link to the Adult Forum schedule: http://stmichaelsbythesea.org/adultforum/. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
