We ordered coffee and breakfast. The waitress was very slow serving coffee and refills. The food was adequate, but I found the home fries to be too salty...I would prefer to season them myself. Also, after receiving the check, the waitress did not return for the money, so after waiting and waiting for her to return, (since she said she would take the money), I just took it myself.

I normally really like Alton's but my visit there the other day, was so so. I ordered the Senior Citizen cheese burger with fries and a good salad. My complaint was the cheese burger was maybe a 1/4 inch thick and was totally overcooked and very dry. It was described as a 1/4 pound burger but I have had thicker 1/4 pounders at McDonald's. Our server was very good and friendly.

I was with a group of 11 people. We were seated with a smile and fast service. The food at Alton's is always good. The server took care of us the same as if we were a group of two. We never felt rushed and in the end, nearly everyone paid separately. The server treated us so well that I believe nearly everyone left a $5.00 tip which made her work worthwhile.
