They don't accept walk-ins I'm sick and I pain now not weeks from now! What medical facility doesn't accept walk-ins? Oh that's right the VA Clinc because they just don't care about us veterans, in my opinion they only care about the government paycheck they get. Our health issues can't wait weeks or months we need a facility and Doctors that actually care about seeing us get better now not on there schedule.

I have been using vocational rehabilitation benefits for about two years now. I have had five different counselors and I am never told I am getting a new one until it's been a month or more from hearing from the previous one. Recently I got a new counselor and was supposed to get back to for something a week later. A month later after a few emails and phone calls nothing. Communication needs to be improved upon.

No quick option to speak to a representative. Have to go through list after list before you are given an option. Average wait time for a call is well over an hour during which time you listed to the same 15 second jingle on a loop. If the system estimates your wait time for 20 minutes either 1) You'll wait over an hour OR 2) it just keeps playing the same jingle after they close for the day and no one answers your call. va.gov says my statement of case was mailed a week ago, but I haven't received it. Haven't received a new award letter either. Any other mail I get from here is delivered the same day considering I am a 10 minute drive from the office. So they deny claims very slowly, don't deliver mail, and meanwhile I'm given 60 days from the day they allegedly mailed the SOC to respond. Last time I called about this I was told they can't discuss my SOC until I receive it....So if I never receive it... If you drive here good luck, no way to enter and no one answers the door. If you wait an hour someone may come out to smoke and if you ask how to speak with someone considering your appeal and missing mail they ignore you. This place needs a brand new staff. One item I disputed in my claim was not addressed according to va.gov because it vanished. Want to see the SOC, but they probably just never mailed it because I haven't received it. Some may just say, "well what do expect from the VA?" BETTER, THIS OFFICE IS UNNACCEPTABLE! If you call the Chicago Regional VA for example, someone answers, speaks to you like a human being, and is helpful within 5 minutes waiting. The San Diego VA Regional Office needs to be audited at the very least

Yes, you have to determine to select who you want to represent you. Like Disabled American Veterans or Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Appointment for medical or there is a walk in for benefits
I'm looking for a couple of good lawyers too, myself. For other reasons But the Navy legal can possibly help with a veteran. Someone from the "militaryonesource" or ebenefits online, perhaps? Thank you for your service, sir or ma'am. I'm just as lost. I used to have my husband to guide me through all of this. Now I'm in a dark room trying to look for the lit area got better directions with kids and their pets in tow.
Yes it is. I got my form from there. Bring your DD-214.
Please contact the VA in Mission Valley. Normally I would say no but there's been some serious changes because of covid19. Your circumstances may effect your eligibility.
Go to the Public Contact office inside to the left after you pass through security. Sign in the qless for VA and letter
Yes at Public Contact, you can also do it online through eBenefits
You should be able to request a copy online but this office should be able to assist at the service counter in the room on the left after you enter.
https://www.hillandponton.com/the-va-claims-file-aka-c-file/ See link, above, for some good info. May need to work with a VFW rep or other organization rep to get the help needed.
Contact CalVet calvet.ca.gov
You can also go to VA in mission valley to make all the changes.
Yes, that is where you should go. 1st floor. The office is on the left when you enter the bldg.
You have to go to the hospital in La Jolla. For the phone #, check the website.
File a complaint
You can try the Mission Valley VA or you can do a web search for VA Survival Benefits. I hope this information helps.
Yes you can. The Mission Valley VA will be your best bet, they are more administrative there.
Do not mail it take to the regional office near you also your service rep should be doing it and they should be doing it for you
It better be a good damn lawyer.
You should call the V.A.
Anyone with a 100% disability
Mike, yes. Please contact VA's services for homeless and at-risk Veterans, available 24/7 at 1-877-424-3838 (1-877-4AID-VET) so you can speak with a rep about your situation. Please visit our website to learn more about VA's Homeless program at https://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/index.asp
Sign up for a Direct Deposit. It is the best and expedient way to get your payments. If you can't get an account with bank or credit union I don't have any further advice.
Go online to ebenefits.gov and fill out an application or get a veteran service officer (VFW, AMVETS, DAV, AMERICAN LEGION) they can also assist with filling an application. Additionally, the county your in should have a veteran service officer.
My experience is not to put much faith on a VSO. It is difficult to find a competent one. I gave up looking for one and did all the work myself. It took me a long time to educate myself but it has paid off. I am moving thru the VA a lot faster. It looks like it will take me 5 months to complete my claim; but it took over a year to learn how to navigate thru the VA process. It can only be done if you can't work. If you have a job, it is very time consuming.
There's no fee to start an application. Just fill out one and if you've any difficulty, ask the help of a VSO.
There are both there.
If your new to the V.A . system or coming into it from another station point you might try going to the Med. Ctr.in La Jolla and make physical contact with them and I'm sure you will be less questioned and more informed after that!
Mission valley has a benefits office. 8810 Rio San Diego dr.
