I have lived at my address for 25 years. And about 5-7 years ago the sub driver could not find my address so the manager of the Union Gap WA. Store decided to bring it to me in his personal truck. I will admit it was very nice of him. And it was at that point he informed me that I would have to pick up all my future packages at his store. And then said it was because of the dirt roads and their primitiveness. The fact was the roads are just too bad for his trucks. Please understand that I COMPLETELY agree with this.. And this is not the reason for my complaint. It is just the facts.. Fast forward to today I received an email from UPS letting me know that I have a package set to arrive tomorrow. Now because I know they can’t deliver to me I decided to call the one 800 number for the union gap store and let them know they needed to hold the package there and I would pick it up. At this point the worker on the other end informed me that it would cost me eight dollars to pick it up at the store. Now I explain to him that his company is unable to deliver to me and I should not have to pay the fee I have never had to pay a fee! He at this point explained to me there was nothing he can do and I would just have to pay it. So I informed him I will just wait for the driver to figure out he cannot deliver it and when he calls to tell me this. I will just meet him and pick it up for free!!! What the hell!!! Is the UPS store financially hurting so bad that they are now going to charge people to pick up their own packages that they have already paid shipping on?? I mean really!!!

Horrible hours. Never open when you need them. Few good drop off points. FedEx is open and you can drop off packages all over the place. NOT UPS!

Update: response to owner understandable weather may be bad elsewhere but my package has been processed 3 times and out for delivery 3 times as of this morning at the Union Gap facility. Union Gap is approx. 10 min. Drive from my place how is the weather playing a part in delivering my package when like I said it has been at the Union Gap Facility processed and out for delivery 3 times. I was going to have it held at The Union Gap Facility but I do not want to pay the $5.99 fee to have it held for pickup when I have already paid for shipping. Considering that a UPS TRUCK WAS NEXT DOOR TO MY APARTMENTS LAST NIGHT. MY PACKAGE COULD HAVE BEEN DELIVERED HAD THE DRIVER DINE HIS JOB!!! I AM STILL WAITING FOR A 3RD DAY FOR IT TO BE DELIVERED PER YOUR UPDATES. WHAT SEVERE WEATHER BETWEEN UNION GAP AND YAKIMA??? THEN IF I WANT YOU TO HOLD IT YOU WANT TO MAKE ME WAIT UNTIL THE 13TH AND CHARGE ME $5.99. WHERE IS MY PACKAGE??? 1/11/2022 9:27 P.M. I had a pkg that was supposed to be delivered between 3 & 6 pm today. Having mobility problems, I set my alarm so I would be out there to receive the package when it arrived., as it required a signature. There was a notice on the door that they had attempted to deliver it earlier. We didn't hear a knock on the door. I attempted to email UPS about it, but their computer didn't understand what I was trying to say. I phoned with the same results. What has happened to customer service? Must everything be done by computer? It is very frustrating. I finally received my package, later than I was supposed to. It was supposed to have a signature. When I asked the driver about it he said that's OK and he left.
