Abandoned park with a state historical marker. Easy walk from the gate.

Neat place. Really amazing maze carved into the stone. Sad they had to double fence it in. ☹️ Highly suggest hiking up the hill during a cool time of the day.

A somewhat unique historical monument of a maze sketched/carved into a large boulder or rock. The rock is located just a few miles from the main highway and is just a short 1/4 mile hike from the parking area. The boulder is located behind two fences though so it is a little more difficult to see and that is really all that is out here. Only worth seeing if passing through the city of Hemet and want to make a small detour.

If you're in the area go. It's a petroglyph in a boulder. Not a far walk and really interesting. The view is pretty with mountains and farm houses in the valley

It seems that there is more speculation than actual knowledge about it. It's been estimated to be at least 500 years or older.

Can you camp near here?

I have never seen anyone camp there nor have I found evidence of camp sites in my seven years frequenting the land. Bonfires take place at tier 2 on some nights, but tucked far enough in the hills to not be seen from the road. How legal any of those activites are though, remains unknown. However, do be aware of rattle snakes, tarantulas, (seasonally) and coyotes year round if you visit and or camp out.
