Walked into the deli to get a sandwich made at the counter. We waited for a few minutes watching the counter man make a sandwich and then asked him if we could have the chipotle turkey. He responded and let us know they had no chicken or turkey so we said we’d like it with roast beef then. he acknowledged what we said then went about doing other things for about 10 more minutes. We were waiting so long that another deli worker asked if we needed help or if we were just standing playing on our phones. We answered back that we were just waiting for the older man to make our sandwich and that we had been helped. He then walked over and rudely said that he wasn’t aware that he was helping and if we were done playing on our phones then he would help… which was super rude and confusing as he said he’d help us as soon as he was done. The attitude towards my friend and I was uncalled for and we will get our groceries elsewhere, where people have nice attitudes and don’t gaslight their patrons or make snarky comments about being on our phones.

Very nice grocery store in Laguna Beach with parking on the roof as well as ground level. We found everything we needed including bug spray, champagne and ice as we camped nearby at Crystal Cove
