Came there with my 10lb dog in a satchel. Was turned away b/c while I do have a doctor’s note, I was told that he wasn’t a service animal. You would think that with a tumbling economy and Amazon destroying profit margins that a business like REI wouldn’t turn away anyone’s money. Oh well. Never stepping foot into one again… Bezos, release the hounds.

Today I went to REI to purchase a mountain bike, I found one I really liked. As I’m about to purchase it Andrea the store manager interrupted my conversation with the kind & helpful employee. She must have been having a bad day and needed to take it out on someone. She was extremely rude, belittling & unprofessional to the point that I decided to leave without purchasing the bike. It’s time for Andrea to find a job that better suits her angry personality.

I ordered a massive 17' kayak to this store. The staff here was ultra friendly and helpful. They carried it outside, unboxed it, and helped me load it onto my vehicle. The boat was in perfect shape and I am very pleased with the whole experience.
