Please do not visit. After a really rough year (and let's be honest, so many of us have had a rough year!) and a traumatic birth, I was *finally* able to see friends and get a break. I almost died and my son almost died during child birth. I was so excited to see some friends for the first time and try Boordy wine! I had seen the wine around and was curiously anticipating trying them. I brought my 8-week-old nursing newborn who was asleep and strapped to me in a baby carrier. The security guard said no people under 21. I said that he was a newborn who was strapped to me and not an underaged drinker or a somewhat destructive toddler (I have one of those, too, but at home!). They said it was an insurance liability thing. I said I'm a 3L with a bunch of other lawyers and can draft my own liability waiver if that was a concern on their end. Not trying to be cute, just trying to offer solutions. The manager said curtly that my waiver would have to be approved by their lawyer, take 3-5 business days and that I would be responsible for processing fees. The security guard said that they can't let me and my newborn in because they were "worried about Yelp reviews" if others saw me with my newborn. She said that they would ask "why is she able to bring her child in? Is it because she's white?". This was news to me. I am Native American and NOT white passing. At the end of the day, I was crying and shaking. I was waiting 40+ minutes in a hot parking lot with a little newborn. All I wanted was some empathy. My husband's cousins have worked in the wine industry in Sonoma for the past 20+ years. I understand some attention is needed during production but absolutely not to this extent and 100% not to the detriment of people who need reasonable accommodations. I haven't tried Boordy wine, and I don't think I will have an opportunity to in the future. I feel humiliated.

Great experience, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Grounds are amazing and the accessibility for all is a plus. Live music was a plus.

Boordy vineyards inc was an absolute hit! The parking is coordinated when you drive in. You get to see the vineyards as you’re parking and while you’re walking towards the winery. The winery is very modern, menus are on QR codes and their POS system is amazing. They have plenty of room for larger parties. There are plenty of picnic tables, smaller tables in the courtyard, and even plenty of grass space for picnics. The wine flight we ordered was #3 in the summer collection which had two delicious roses. We also ordered some cheese, crackers, and prosciutto that was pretty good! It was nice that they sell it there conveniently for the people that forget their charcuterie boards at home. There are also food trucks that come as well. When we went Libs Grill was there so we ended up ordering some pork street tacos which were so addicting! I was sad to see it only came with only two tacos. The old bay fries were good but whoever made them was pretty heavy handed with the seasoning. I can not wait to come to this vineyard again! Whether it’s celebrating a special occasion or just out for the day Boordy vineyards will always be a great time for friends and family.

Not really, unfortunately

I have a small vineyard of 330 vines on the west side of South Mtn opposite a vineyard that Boordy owns/leases in Burkittsville. My question is would Boordy be interested in leasing 3 acres to expand your South Mtn presence?

Need to ask them. Depends on your microclimate, soil type and the quality of your vines. They have recently ripped out and replanted a lot of their vines with higher quality ones to improve their wine
