The lovely double standards of some cashiers(in this case Laura V), I went to food4less at around 12pm today, I waited in line like everyone else, I happened to notice that the lady in front of me had a few bottles of wine, when it came time to pay, as the lady was scanning the alcohol, she asks the lady "are you over 21?" The customer replied "yes haha, do you want to see my ID?" To which the Cashier responds, "no, you don't need to hahaha, as long as you say you're over 21 it's fine". The lady pays her bill and leaves, I was only there to buy the bottle, so I say, "I'd like to get a bottle of Makers Mark the 750ml one, please" she gives me a dirty look and responds with "do you have your ID?" I laugh and show her my ID, I don't like being rude so I didn't say anything(which I know some rude people would ask her why she didn't ask the woman in front but chooses to demand mine) , but it's quite disrespectful of her to literally break the law in front of me as she not only didn't ask but refuse the ID. Mind you, the woman ahead of me looked younger than me, and the cashier (Laura V) gets upset with me because I'm making her do her job and go get the bottle, since I can't do it myself. It's one of those things that really make a visit unpleasant when it really didn't need to be. The level of disrespect this lady showed to me, shows that she most likely treats female customers way better than male customers and as a cashier, that is unacceptable. I'm going to write her name at the top so people know, the receipt shows her name as "Laura V" and I believe it was isle 3 or 4.

It's ok at times, do need help on registers sometimes. Long lines get crazy only with two registers open. Enjoy your shopping.

Well For Starters The Parking Is Horrible Directly In Front Of The Market The Few Time's I Stepped Into That Establishment & As For The Up Keep Of The Customer Parking Lot Very Filthy As I Recall Not Seeing Any Trash Cans Thru Out The Lot And There Push Baskets That Customers Fail To Return Directly To There Designated Spots Can Be Seen Thru Out The Lot At Times Blocking A Parking To Find One In Decent Order Good Luck !!! I Can Go On And On But Why???

Last I heard they were doing the first hour of business reserved for seniors and people with disabilities or health problems but I'm not sure if they are still doing it today or if they enforce it due to California schedule to reopen on may 15th
Call them, they won't answer you here because you are asking the community, not the store itself.
Yes.

Yes! It used to be a home for unwed young mothers which was run by nuns. I remember the the building and am surprised that it wasn't declared a historical landmark...the architecture and history alone should have deemed it an important part of the Boyle Heights' history.
It is on the first
it's a grocery store
