Today is my 7th time arriving — in the morning — to buy a croissant and finding them 100% out of stock. Portland bakers seem to derive a giddy pleasure from under baking because it allows them to say “we sold out.” But y’all … that’s not how it works. You can’t bake fewer than 50 croissants and then feel proud when you sell out. You are a business. Learn to meet the demand for your product. Scale. Your failure to adequately plan / prepare / forecast is not charming. And maybe you were born rich but the revenue you’re blatantly rejecting could be impactful. Sell more product, make more people happy, pay your staff better. Or continue to sell less product, make fewer people happy and pay your staff the same.

Holy magnolia! I have been so disappointed by Portland croissants since I was ruined by Paris (yes—I know how that sounds). But Little t American Baker has finally renewed my faith. The stretchy, creamy, buttery layers—😍😍😍. And with the complement of an absolutely perfect little dry cappuccino to go with? Wow. I got a kouign-amann, a pistachio bear paw, and a triple cheese grilled cheese. Every item blew my poor little mind. I’m not sure if any of them will survive the day 👀 Lovely staff. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Next time I’ll have to buy a loaf of bread, too. The whole place is understated. Instant obsession.

We got a box of pastries including a pound cake, croissants, and a scone. We loved each of them and will be coming back when the weather is better and we’re not walking back with a soggy rain-laden box. Looking forward to trying some breakfast options as well.

I LOVE Little T's and have been a regular for the past couple years. These folks are super consistent with their baked goodies! My personal favs include blueberry corn scones, chocolate croissants, and ANYTHING involving the pretzel rolls. Coffee here can be a hit or miss depending on how busy the place is. This weekend I saw three folks working and maybe a dozen (!!) folks waiting or ordering. My latte tasted a bit bitter (but strong), and it was prepped and ready for pick up within speedy time. Heads up, the staff really appreciate that customers wear masks when entering the bakery and stay socially distanced. Lots of X marks to help guide you and keep you safe!
