Great communication and flexibility, worked hard to get the job done on time. Will definitely bring my cars back.

I called Surgeline about tuning and parts. They offered me a 200.00 'protune' with the purchase of an access port. I also picked up an air intake. They were 2 months out on their dyno tunes, which was no problem. During that 2 months I installed the air intake and AP and ran with an OTS map. It was fun. So much fun I decided to research more parts. I called Surgeline back and spoke a great guy about parts options (forget his name) who was even willing to drop off the parts at my house as I lived close by to him. That was awesome - they save on some shipping and I get the parts a bit quicker. I told him I'd call back to confirm. When I called back I got PJ who, according to him, said I couldn't use just those parts. I would need to order more parts, to for the previously discussed parts to work properly. Then, on top of that, if I didn't have the parts installed there I would be paying 150.00 for 'limp mode' map to get my car from my house to their shop. Prices were all of a sudden in the thousands of dollars. Being the consumer I am, I instantly started researching what I was told. I called different shops around the country, posted in the various forums online, and spoke to a couple locals. I quickly came to the conclusion that 1) being charged for limp mode map is not normal. However, supporting customers desire to wrench on their own cars is normal and the 150.00 limp mode fee was clearly an attempt to get more money. 2) most of the parts I was told I 'must have' are in reality not 'needed' as I was being led to believe. Was there some validity to the suggestion for certain parts? Yes. Was there any validity to the necessity of those parts - no. Further, the parts I was being led to believe I needed would have added tremendous noise to the operation of the car. This was not ever mentioned by PJ. Man... forget about how unhappy I would have been, I would have had some upset neighbors as well. Overall I feel like I was the little old lady at the auto repair shop being taken advantage of. Kind of a bummer Surgeline chose to take this route as I was really looking forward to getting tuned by them. They lost a ton of parts sales, a tune, and possible future tunes (I tinker A LOT). Oh ya- FYI they are no longer owned by Cobb, which was news to me as well.

Will they install a turbo nothing too special but just A little nice upgrade and also what’s the price for diagnostics, what do they have to offer? I looking for a upgrade but also a good deal my turbo is in good shape will they consider on trading for a bigger turbo and paying the difference off with installing included?

I started taking my FoST to them for maintenance and upgrades. Apparently they can make Subaru’s a little faster too 😉 Quality work and great service.

We do not, we only tune vehicles that are supported by the Cobb AccessPort.

We specifically tune vehicles that are supported by the Cobb Accessport. Currently the only trucks (lifted or not) supported by the Cobb AP are some of the Ford EcoBoost trucks.

Do you guy work on 2014 dodge darts?

Justin Halsted | Aug 19, 2021
Surgeline Tuning | Aug 19, 2021

Sorry Justin, but currently we have chosen to only tune on the Cobb tuning platform, and Cobb does not currently support that vehicle. My suggestion would be to look and see what programmer people are using for your vehicle and then go to the manufacturer's site of that programmer and find their list of authorized tuners for their product.

If someone were to bring parts purchased elsewere, would you install them? (Parts such as: suspension/sway bars, exhaust/headers, motor mods, interior/exterior body panels, rims) the vehicle I have in mind is a C6 Corvette

We do not directly support that vehicle, feel free to give us a call during normal business hours and we can discuss possible options for you that would allow you to use a remote tuner and rent our dyno. 503-670-9500 tu-sa 9:30-6:00

$500 if you are just getting a tune with aftermarket parts already installed, more if they do installations for you ie: cold air intake, tgv/tgr delete, syncing an accessport, etc...

how much power do you think you could get out of a stock 2013 v6 mustang

That is not a vehicle we support and would not be able to give any valuable input on. I would suggest looking into shops that support EFI Live or SCT, as I believe both those tuning platforms are compatible with your vehicle. Thanks- Bobby Wintrode GM Surgeline
