Unlike what some say, this range is NOT free. It stopped being free in 2010, gun range permits are required to utilize this range. The permit allows you to bring a +1 and expires every June the cost is $30. Now for the range itself, there's way to many restrictions and it is very over populated you can find yourself waiting for 30 minutes at the least for a lane to open. 3 round mag limit at the rifle lanes and a 6 round mag limit at the pistol lanes. Good luck getting a 10 yard lane at the pistol range, there are only two lanes for 10 yards and most of the time shooters don't have enough respect to keep the one next to them available for someone else. This range used to be a great range back before it started charging and became overcrowded, when it was used for its built purpose; sighting in your hunting rifles and handguns. Not for recreational destruction of th backstops. It's a shame this is one of the only gun ranges within a half hour of York county.

Pistol and rifle ranges that are decently maintained. Remember to have a valid hunting or shooting permit.

You have to get a permit from the state of Pennsylvania I believe it is a $30 a year charge to use that facility. I believe you have to be of age or have a hunter safety certificate.
