I've ridden a lot of mountain bike parks and this is unfortunately the worst. Trails are poorly marked, overgrown and the black trails were so slick we could barely walk on them let alone ride them. There is moss and algae growing all over the trail making for very unsafe riding conditions. I had high hopes but was not impressed.

one of the fav trails to hike. Remember the endless cobwebs in the summer, the snow this time is much more welcomed.

As long as you’re cool with the occasional face-full of spider webs, this trail system will give you a taste of everything. Will’s Wanderer is fast and flows really well. Tasty Goodness gets more technical with some cool rock transfers and short-but-challenging climbs and stream crossings. Rim Job gets really technical with enough rocks and roots to prime anyone for an upcoming prostate exam. Considering the plethora of flat Midwest farmland that Missouri is known for, this ride packs a lot more action than it may appear at face value.

A well maintained, easily accessible, and not very crowded park. Great for riding or running. There occasionally are horses but not often. There's also a good amount of wildlife and bike jumps of varying levels.

Questions & Answers

Are there any single track trails around the area that have man made obstacles? Some added to the hidden valley trail would make it sick! Anyway, throwing out a question along with a suggestion. If it wasn't prohibited I would be happy to build some.

Get with Jackson County Parks and rec. The campgrounds are normally for the boy scouts and I have actually never heard of private individuals camping in Landahl Park. Reference the Boy Scout camp on Argo rd. Which is the camp ground to the South.

Are there good flow trails here? Looking for something with a little more speed and a little less technical.

If I remember correctly, there is a small downhill section with some doubles and nice berms like you would see on a big mountain trail. A very fun course.

Can you bring a 4 wheeler here?
