This organization will NOT do business with you (employment) if you are not established at a Christian faith church they recognize. Pretty sure that is called discrimination. Their mission statement and value sound pretty good on paper, but they will be moving forward without any of my personal or loved ones’ support from here on out. I thought a group like this would have been more accepting to help/work with others…..

I am so thankful we have a warm place to stay and were not on the streets, but ...If you have a male child over a certain child you are Not allowed to recover in their program. You are barely allowed shelter at all. You cannot progress in any of their programs no matter if you obey the rules or not. They discriminate against males that are over 11. It’s illegal. It’s also morally wrong. Our male children deserve to be protected too. Not treated like they’re bad and further traumatized. Being homeless is bad enough and traumatizing to a child. Imagine being told you can’t do anything simply because you are male and potentially harmless. What are we telling our male children? That they are all bad once they hit puberty. That NOT love OR protection.

You can go to the UGM if they have availability. It is a God sent place to help you get back on your feet. With a clean and sober environment.
Unfortunately, Anna Ogden Hall is for women. However, the UGM has a men's shelter and Open Doors accepts families.
Frontier behavioral health has an intake line you can call called First Crisis Response. Theyll actually con3e to your home and talk with you. Its an amazing resource for that! They will direct you
