I have been to this location several times and the food and service is always stellar. On Monday morning, 7/25/22, I had another fantastic breakfast and was served by an equally wonderful waitress. What really stood out to me was the manager Brandon. I sat at the diner bar and got to hear and witness first hand the professional and encouraging words from Brandon to all the employees and cooks. He put all his attention into how each plate was served and his positive spirit was not only uplifting to his workers, but to those of us customers that witnessed it as well! I want to say, let’s go Brandon!

What can I say about the portions of their plates but wow. Didn't pic the pancake cause I don't have the panoramic feature on my phone. The food is amazing, you have to go here.

The service and food certainly exceeded my expectation. The food was great and black bear provided variety within their selection. Paired with the ambience it did create a comforting and welcoming experience. Maria, our waitress, was amiable and provided my table excellent service. Her rapport was indeed excellent as she had a lovely chat with my dad. 10 gold stars for her!

Went out this Saturday while visiting SLC: while it was not so crowded, it took a looot of time for food to come out. I ordered SB Corned Beef Hash & Egg and it was average. Beef and eggs were dry, potatoes undercooked and there was a piece of lemon that tasted weird, like it was spoiled. I do like Black Bear Diner and food is usually delicious in the locations I normally visit or order delivery from. But this place was disappointing. I would give this place 3 stars. Added extra star because they apologized and didn't make us pay for the food that was delayed.
