Would have liked a little more info but it was good. It shows the map of the 17 mile drive and another map should the names of the 16 stops that are numbered along the route. It is at the 503 and 502 FR. Go left and do the route counter clock wise. Great examples of mining. Great drive and good road.

Incredible journey into the past. Road is a little rough but we had no issues with our small SUV in all-wheel drive. It was a beautiful dry day when we were there. I would imagine the road would be much more difficult on a rainy day. The Last Chance Mine is worth a stop. The views up the road into the mountains when you near the end by Creede are stunning.

Cool ride. All Jeep trail. I had to hike a bike for a bit, but that's just due to my fitness and the altitude 😉

The directions were not clear and we ended up on a trail ... not meant for cars. It was extremely rough, narrow, wet, broken branches and rocks in the road ... steep, sharp turns ... three branches hanging out into the road. We finally turned around for fear of car damage or becoming stranded with no cell service to call for help!!! However, I did get some really pretty pictures of scenery ... though nothing that the Bachelor Loop promised us. Needs to be better marked. What happened was that we stopped at the wooden signs that said, "Stop and read this." We did and then we continued on the road ahead past the signs past some buildings.

I don't believe there is any camping there. However, there is a great NF Campground just about a half hour south, just on the Rio Grande River (Palisade Campground on the rio grand river).
