Such a cool place! Where else can you tour a gold mine, deep inside a mountain and you get ride an actual mine train to do it! The staff were awesome! Not only did they explain every detail about a miners daily life, they even demonstrated the equipment! The gift shop has tons of stuff and there is a gold panning area outside the mine that the kids will love!

This tour was a unique experience right outside of Silverton. If you have claustrophobia do be warned, there are some smaller tunnels. I don’t want to spoil to much of the experience, but it’s a great place for the family. I think the thing that really wrapped this place together was our tour guide, Jake. Jake was so knowledgeable, having worked in the mine, and was great at engaging the kids by letting them try mining gear! If you are in the Silverton/Durango area, I definitely recommend this location. 5/5⭐️

Amazing tour, well worth the money!! Go into the mine and learn about the tools miners used while searching for gold. Jake, our tour guide was outstanding. He gave us insight into what it was like to actually work the mine. Amazing!

Great, fun! Lots to learn. My daughter loved every minute of it, especially panning for gold before and after our tour.
