A 5 star experience! I can't quite communicate the vibe but it felt like I was hanging out with an ole friend for the weekend and that's just the experience of the grounds and the facility; and we commuted to boot... We took the blacksmith basics. WOW. Walking into blacksmith barn was being transported to another time. The tools, the fire & forges, the banging of hammer on metal with the smoke wafting and lingering in the air, peeking at each person's project just before it billowed out the wide open side doors. Just WOW. Our instructor Gary was a delight. Skilled, personable, patient and more invested in the outcome of my TWO completed projects over the course of 3 days than I. We happen to have 2 other classmates that were just a delight and our 4 person group really meshed well with cooperation and independence. What a GEM NH has in Sanborn Mills Farm. Today was the 3rd and final day and I can't believe that I am not going to the forge tomorrow.
