Not very friendly to common folk, they want to charge $230 for an oil change. In my opinion, they cater more to those that can spend without regard to the price. They told me my brakes didn't need to be done because they were at 65%, when they were checked two months ago at 50% good. Won't be going back...

This is by far the only honest and reliable car shop I have found since moving to the LA area and later OC 4 years go. They never oversell and put pressure on you to make you have any unnecessary repairs and services done. They do their work quickly and efficiently. If I give them my car I know for sure that the issue will be fixed, and I will not have to pay crazy amount of money because of the location, and it is located in the area where many car shops are overprices.

My wife's 1999 BMW 540i is her "forever car", so it's a big deal when something goes wrong. When that happens, as it sometimes does, I take it to Bill and Tony at Harbor View Mobil. This last case was no exception. Burned out turn signal, car pulling to the left, no heat from the heating system, and due for an oil change. I'm convinced that a dealer would have recommended replacing the A/C, straightening the frame, and who knows what else. Bill replaced the light, put the tires at proper inflation, showed us how the A/C controls actually worked, and did the oil change. Everything works perfectly again. Great shop, with people with common sense.
