We had a fantastic experience at Modern Barn. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. We were in a big party that ordered a variety of different dishes, and every single person loved their food. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely come back.

We had an amazing dinner at the Modern Barn. The owner came out to give us wine recommendations and the wait staff (Heather) was patient and kind for our big group. The food did not disappoint - the Pig Chop (apparently back by popular demand) was a huge, delicious portion and the charcuterie board was large and delicious! They were able to accommodate all our dietary needs as well, including vegans and vegetarians. We would highly recommend the Modern Barn to anyone visiting the Bethel/Newry area!

We were prepared for the lack of staffing, however our waitress ( who I believe was the owner) was surly the whole evening. No plates for the appetizer ( that was essentially thrown on the table) and the salad course was served with the entrees. With that being said, the food itself was delicious. The wedge salad was the best I’ve ever had. Everyone in our party was pleased with the food. If you want an overall good review then change the surly attitude toward your customers. That’s a huge part of the dining experience.

My partner and I just ate there the other night. Great atmosphere and an incredible wine selection, both red and white- a better selection than you will find in any other restaurant within a 30 minute drive, at the least. The meat and cheese board was good, but I wish it came with a little more for the price. Overall I enjoyed my time and will be back again in the future!
