I have a horse blanket business and needed new equipment. The staff were so wonderful in helping myself and my staff to choose what would work for us. We are incredibly satisfied and highly recommend Wayside Sewing!

I've been to quite a few fabric places during my sewing career, and by far, the owner & employees here are the kindest & most helpful out of every store I've visited. I am not a quilter, but an apparel artist. They didn't care & even went so far as to offer to ordet fabric for me? I HIGHLY recommend Wayside & I wish they were closer to me.

Always helpful and patient. They're very skilled too so not only do they have a good selection of machines and fabric and notions but they also help with projects. I really enjoy coming here.

These ladies are the best! Really top-notch customer service. Their extensive knowledge and helpfulness will make your project go more smoothly and they have a wonderful selection of fabrics, machines and materials on hand. Be sure to stop in at the bakery next door while you're there -- so good!! p.s. I don't usually do reviews but Wayside Sewing really deserves a visit if you're in the area. Go there for your sewing needs (and then stop at the bakery next door). You'll be so glad you did:)

We are certified on Bernina, Brother, Husqvarna Viking, Elna, Singer and Neechi machines but have experienced technicians with knowledge on all brands. Call if you have a question, or drop in with your machine and let us take a look.
Sorry,we do not service knitting machines.
Yes we do, how long depends on when you bring it in. Right now we are still at about 6 week turnaround, but it has been steadily going down. If something is broken and parts are needed, it could add a few more weeks. Before covid we typically had a 2 week turnaround, but lots of people have broken machines that they pulled out of the mothballs that need significant repairs.
The machine should flip up. There should be 2 set screws that you can loosen and the machine will pull right out (asuming it is not a huge industrial). You can then just bring it in. If you can’t get it out, call the store and we can give you the number of someone who makes house calls, I’m sorry we don’t.
You can just walk in. Turn around is 30 days or more, however.
We are an authorized sewing machine sales and service center for: Bernina, Husqvarna Viking, elna, necchi, Singer and Brother machines.
Yes we offer gift certificates.
We accept used sewing machines as trade-ins towards the purchase of a new machine. For select models we will re-sell a machine on consignment if the machine is in good working order and is a model we believe would be of interest to our customer base. Stop by and talk to us about your needs and we'll see if we can help.
Costs of classes vary based on the class, the number of sessions, length of sessions and kit costs. If you select classes & clubs on our website (top menu) you will see a list of classes and the prices. You can also get this from our google calendar by clicking on any class that interests you, to see al the details.
We do have some Aida cloth and a few kits along with a large selection of floss and needles. We have an even larger selection of machine embroidery supplies as well.
