Got stood up twice by Vaughan (sp?). No call, nothing. Clearly they don't need the business. Went with another provider. Word of mouth travels fast, bad word of mouth travels faster.

They did a great job, made sure everything was working properly before they left and explained everything so we understood how the system worked and what we needed to do if it didn't. Installed a solar array for electricity and replaced our pool's solar water heater, both working as expected. Would recommend them for anything solar.

I had a great experience with Insource Renewables. What tipped the scales for me over competitors was the option of having the custom made shed from Backyard Buildings with part of my solar array pre-mounted and brought to the site. All of the staff and crew of both organizations are top notch. When I have had a question or an issue, they have been resolved very quickly and professionally. My system works exactly as planned, including the heat pump/air conditioner, which is a great addition to my home. Actually, just running it on dehumidify was all I needed to make the house extremely comfortable for 90% of the hot summer we just had. Rarely did it need to be on AC. Previously, this house had been unpleasantly hot in the summer months. I am a happy camper all around and would recommend Insource Renewables to anyone interested in going solar in Maine!

I was experiencing problems with my solar thermal system. The original contractor was not qualified and as a result the system did not perform well because the controls to heat the hot water and the radiant floor system were not coordinated. I contacted Vaughan at Insource Renewables and found him to be extremely knowledgeable and able to correct the problems with the solar thermal system so my heating system works very well. This was a call that was well worth it.

The federal tax incentives were extended but still due to decline after 2022. In 2021 and 2022, the tax credit will remain at 26% but it will drop to 22% in 2023, and in 2024 will be eliminated completely for homeowners.
