Run by the rejected cast of Tiger King. My medication was moved from where I placed it. My meds are controlled substances for context. They Will blame you for their technical issues on their part..etc. Go here only as a last resort.

This inn had the only available room within hours. While the office was indeed smokey and the room itself dated and sparse, the bed was comfortable, the room clean, and some shower toiletries were provided. They had a mini fridge and microwave which you donβt see in hotels anymore. The staff was very pleasant. The door locks were odd in that the outside entry door was an indoor room lock. It was kind of like stepping back in time but it was a great experience especially given the $79 price.

I found this place to be delightful. Very quiet and clean. The Tirells, whom run the hotel were cordial and seem like all-around decent people. There is even laundry service by Mrs. Tirell for anyone interested in extra amenities. I will stay here again next time I am up in Maine. (Which will be very soon I hope.π)

I don't know who is posting 3 star reviews of this motel, but either they are friends of the owners or were at a different place altogether. We booked this motel based on those 3 star reviews and were severely disappointed. This place was a dump. The first clue was the porch area of some of the rooms being used to store lawn mowers, snow blower, old furniture, etc. When we checked in we were proudly told that everything in our room was new, except the pillows and comforters. The TV, we were told was new from another hotel so was stuck in hotel mode, which meant you could not just arrow up/down to change channels but had to enter each number. That should have been the first clue. The room did have new microwave and refrigerator and mattresses (which I am sure were brand new based on cleanliness, not sure what they will look like in a couple of months). However, we had booked a non-smoking room and this room definitely was not. Just because you remove the ash trays does not make it non-smoking. You need to isolate it, fumigate it, and then prevent anyone from ever smoking in it again in order to truly market it as non-smoking. The room stank like an ashtray. It was so bad we did not keep our suitcases in the room. The sheets and towels were the only things that were clean. The comforters had cigarette burn holes in them. There were cobwebs around the air conditioner, above the window, in the doorway, under the bathroom counter and where the wall and ceiling meet. The floor, which was supposedly brand new, was vinyl flooring badly in need of cleaning and had paint spatters all over it. The breakfast that we were told would be available from 5-10am and would consist of grab and go items (coffee and orange juice, doughnuts, granola bars, etc.) was non-existent. We had to knock on the lobby door at 8am and were told it would be a couple of minutes. The orange juice was still sitting out from the day before, unrefrigerated. We did not stay to see what else would be offered. There was no housekeeping done between our 2 nights. If we could have found another vacancy in the area, we would have left. For the price we paid, it was very disappointing and we would never, ever stay here again.
