We were staying at French Country Inn (bar/restaurant renovations not complete yet)...wanted to stop for a couple drinks and an appetizer nearby before heading to another place for dinner. Well, what a surprise! Friendly staff all around and once we saw the menu, decided to scratch our other plans. Reasonable prices, great food and drinks, friendly staff...yep! PS- Came back next day to really just have a couple drinks before dinner elsewhere...the Spiked Lemon Shakeups are AWESOME!!

I had so much fun with my teen sons at the Tuesday bingo night! The food was actually better than you would expect from a bar. Comfort food.

Honestly, this place has the very best Corned Beef and Cabbage that I have ever had! I'm in love ❤️

We really wanted to love this place based on reviews but it just barely skated past a mediocre experience. Heads up, there are 2 entrances: 1 to the bar and one to the restaurant. We entered by way of bar and had to dodge a dart game in progress. We visited on Labor Day weekend and there was only 1 waiter...really. He was good but seriously get the guy some help. At least 15 minutes for 1st Guinness, which was thankfully very well poured, then 15 more minutes to order, then at least 25 more to get meals. For starters we were served a bread basket with 2 slices each soda bread and rye salt bread, & softened butter, both breads delicious. Then came soup (option was salad); we both picked the shrimp and corn bisque which came with a shot of creme sherry on the side to add if we wanted, which we did. It was absolutely divine and the highlight of the meal. For main meals, I got bangers and mash ($12) and my husband got shepherd's pie ($12). My sausage was great but the sauce was too sweet and the mashed potatoes were dry. Husband's pie had no gravy which I tend to expect with this dish, so it was dry also. Prices were great and though neither meal was horrible, they were nothing I'd want again or recommend. Family atmosphere in the restaurant area.

Everyone does corn beef and cabbage... I delighted myself with Banger's and mash with asparagus with the Irish music playing in the background. The seat by the fire was warm and cozy and the only thing that would have made my St. Patrick's day happier would have been to gotten there before the creme brulee ran out. Lol. Definitely a wonderful time after work.
Awesome! It may be different in the bar area but the main restaurant is not all you can eat. Left feeling quite satisfied. It is small, but charming, often with waiting for a table.
