Originally had a 3 star, but they did have a change in ownership of the storage facility. I changed it because it was unfair to FreeUp. I do like that I get a notification of when I am being billed unlike the last company. They had a horrible transition at no fault to FreeUp. The prior company had canceled the auto billing to my credit card and it ended up defaulting. Luckily I went to check on my unit when they had changed the lock so that I knew something was not right. I worked with them to get it corrected.

The FreeUp folks made a seamless transition from an existing storage company to their new ownership of the space. The property is clean and well maintained. Jessica is amazing, too. She worked closely with me on the particulars of my leasing situation. The communication is excellent. I can't say enough good things. Thanks! A+++

I’m making a last minute move in the middle of the COVID19 pandemic, and Dave was so kind and helpful in helping me find the right unit of the right size and environment for my things. When I met Dave in person to view the unit, sign the lease, and go over all of the details, I was very impressed by how diligent the entire process was in keeping things clean, sanitary, and hygienic. Dave took extra steps to make sure that there was no cross contamination between papers and pens that I touched and that he touched, took the time to make sure we could both wash our hands before completing the paperwork, and handed me the key to my unit wrapped in a Clorox wipe for extra safety. The extra steps taken in this process to keep things clean and safe made a stressful moving process much easier on me and reflect Applewood Self Storage’s commitment to safety and the customer experience. Overall, I’m very impressed and I would absolutely recommend their business for your storage needs!
