Pickin' N Parsons - first time there I felt like I had been there before. I even chatted with the owner by chance occurrence. All in all, it's a great venue for a multi day bluegrass festival. Vendors were onsite with good food and merchandise. The music was first class and the folks were like extended family. I'll be going back this year.

We stayed here for 1 month and plan to return. This is a wonderful campground. Very peaceful, plenty of room with gorgeous views of the mountains and the river which flows gently by. I would use the word rustic as a descriptor but in the most positive meaning as everything is well cared for. The best part of this campground are the owners John and Joyce! They along with their hardworking staff do everything within their power to insure the best camping experience you could ask for.

This campground was nice for the price and we had a good time. If you stay in site 231 in shady grove, people will constantly walk through and ONTO your site (the owners did try to help us with this, but without success). My only real complaint is that I would've liked to know before I got there that there was no picnic tables.

We stayed for 3 nights and had such a relaxing time. John was an awesome host. He checked on us as soon as we got to camp. The river was so refreshing for us and the dogs. We rode bikes on the most beautiful trails and built a fire at night. We did a day trip to Blackwater falls to see the waterfalls, walk the dogs, play disk golf and go out to lunch. I feel like we where so busy relaxing that we slept so well every night! Also, got a chance to catch up on laundry. Clean and safe rv park! Thanks John!!!

You can get in the river right by the campground and paddle around or swim. Water level usually low in summer. There are easy floats to do, getting on right there. Its part of the Cheat River Water Trail...if u are interested in more, check it out online. You can see river levels, access points, and estimates of how long it will take at any given level. Super fun. My 10 y.o. floated on an inflatable parrot.
Less than 1/2 mile yes
The river runs around the campground. You can walk up or downstream, or drive to near by spots
I saw large diesel pushers 43' He can accommodate most any size. Roads getting there, well I was glad we downsized.
They provide easy to move fire rings at the tent camping sites and also sell firewood. I'm pretty sure I saw the same fire rings at the RV sites as well.
very level at campground.
We rent monthly or nightly only. Sorry, we do not have annual or seasonal rates.
