Nice place. The bathrooms are very clean. We went on a sunday through tuesday and we almost had the place to ourselves.

Very nice campground, well spread out camp sites, flushing toilets, and a place to swim. Also has a large field for any field activities you may want to do. Easily one of my favorite campgrounds.

Do you have to pay to tent camp here? And what is their to do for the kideo

Yes, you can pay at recreation.gov, or pay cash on site. Electric sites $22 per night, non-electric $17 per night. There's a shallow creek that's fun for splashing around in. Bring a ball or frisbee for games in the large open field, or take them on the trails that go up the mountainsides.

I read somewhere online that there is a children's behavioral camp program, is this true? And how do I get more information on it?

This is a family campground. It's adjacent to Camp Horseshoe, which is the statewide 4-H camp. They might run a session for kids with behavioral challenges. If you call Camp Horseshoe, they could tell you.

Are you accepting campers yet?

My kids and i just got home from spending 4 days tent camping there and there were campers pulled in as well. They opened Memorial day weekend.

Are they open the month of October?

Sites 1-13 have electric only. Sites 1-6 can be camped on without reservation. 7-12 require reservation. There is no straight water hook-ups. And no dumping station for grey and black water. It is a fantastic campground though. Been going for almost 20 years. I absolutely love it
