I thoroughly enjoyed myself at this intimate restaurant with great food and drinks. Our server, Autumn, was very polite. We were visiting and killing time before fireworks show and Soul Flavor did not disappoint. We had crab dip, a burger (fresh cute fries were so good) and chicken cutlets. I even indulged in a margarita which was so yummy. How could I forget about the fried oysters for our appetizer. They were amazing.

Such a cool, colorful vibe, the most amazing flavorful foods, outstanding staff, talented bartender, five stars every time! After some time away from the area, we came back and visited Soul Flavor again, and again were overwhelmed by the warm welcome, the unique menu, and the perfect dining experience!

Yeah, this place is the real deal. Don't be fooled into thinking this is 'just soul food'. Soul Flavor is the key as it's a varied menu with Soul food influences and flavors, and it's outstanding! I had ribs (really good, tender, great sauce and spices), my wife had Paella and it was also very good (seafood was fresh and properly cooked, sauce was very flavorful). But the item that stole the show was the Key Lime Pie...truly better than some I've had in the Keys. Service was excellent, reasonable prices, truly a 5 star rating earned. Note: menu and specials can change, but based on our experience and the number of locals at the tables, you should try this place again and again!

I truly appreciate restaurants that source their ingredients locally. Soul Flavor is one of those places. Tonight I enjoyed "Marybeth's Eggplant Parmesan". Please see pic below. The eggplant was ever so lightly battered with what they describe as crispy herb crusted (as opposed to breaded) and was topped with shaved parmesan. The marinara sauce was light and fresh tasting. I could have chosen to have the pasta with the same marinara but instead opted for the Alfredo sauce. When the food is that fresh and delectable, I can't help but wonder how their dessert would be to finish off the meal. I was not disappointed! The homemade chocolate hazelnut pie, although extremely rich, slightly lighter in weight than fudge, was creamy and smooth. The interior had pictures of famous musicians in what could only be described as a soulful setting with soul / jazz playing softly in the background.

It's available on Facebook. Website is in the works I believe.
When I visited last month, it was my first time eating inside a restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic. The booths have high backs to separate you from other parties and ALL of the staff (including kitchen staff) wore their masks properly the entire time I was there. We sat in the very back booth near the kitchen, and I was very pleased to be back there. You're required to wear your mask until you're seated. I'm not sure about capacity restrictions, but we went for an early dinner right before 5pm on the Saturday before Valentine's Day, and it wasn't overcrowded. Excellent food and service.
There is one on the Facebook page for the restaurant.
