I hired a caregiver from OHCC here in Oregon. The very first one that I hired was a very wet alcoholic. She arrived at my door 1 evening with bottles of vodka & orange juice. When I wrote to tell them of all that was stolen by not just 1 of them but 2 of them I didn't even get a response. I lost $500 worth of cash & personal items. Even the police wouldn't pursue this. BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOU HIRE. They are not watched even by their own agency. L. L.

I orginally began the HCW process with a would-be employer but with the extended background check, etc. that employer understandly had to find another hcw. Couldnt wait. Then i was approved & set up a profile on the registry. Immediately i found work! It did take some time (3 months) for my provider #. Hope that helps a little.
You are allowed a certain number of hours, you get paid for them no matter what days you work
They did move recently
