No one wants to pay for a mediocre park that requires pads. Give me a break

Worst park ever. What’s the point of an outdoor skatepark that you need to pay for and also wear helmets and pads? Really really idiotic. Also the park is TINY! Do yourself a favor and drive 10-15 minutes in any other direction for a park that’s a million times better. Idiots run this city.

Don’t go here. It’s a ok skatepark but with no flow. You need to have elbow and knee pads, as well as a helmet, I’ve heard of adults driving 2 hours to go here and being turned away because of no elbow pads. They make you buy a member ship in order to go to the PUBLIC park. They say it is for COVID but after vaccination you still can’t go without one. I’m afraid it’s going to a permanent thing. There is someone guarding it at all time and no one goes there anymore.

The city needs to reconsider the hour of operation and PPE requirements at this skatepark. Head to toe pads is considerate, however, the cultural norms at this type of recreational facility do not typically include pads and a helmet. Local basketball courts don’t require mouth guards. An alternative would be to implement a waiver system that the already employed workers can manage, potentially online waivers. I’d also recommend a yearly fee. This would contribute to the extended hours which also needs to be address. 6-hours a day doesn’t cater to the diversity of this crowd. This park has the potential to host young and old, small and large, rich and not so rich. Hours should be 8 am to 10 pm. Thanks.

Nope! Best place to bring your child. They always have a staff member at the entrance to have sign in. Safest skatepark in the south bay

Do you have to pay to get in

No, but make sure you have pads and check the hours.
