I guess I can understand why a police department would have low reviews. I mean, you probably had some kind of negative experience and you’re a little upset. But I, as a law abiding citizen who only occasionally gets caught speeding, have had multiple positive experiences with this agency and have always been treated with respect. My children love MLPD officers and it seems that the officers go out of their way to show a great and encouraging example to them. I appreciate how they go out of their way to make a difference in our community despite the constant challenges they face in this area. Thanks, MLPD. I’m one mom who sleeps better knowing that you’re here for us.

This police department has had some very bad public behavior as of late on the national news. Their treatment and mockery of a young women featured upon their facebook page clearly shows the level of contempt they have for both the citizens they police and the due process of the law they are tasked with upholding. If that was not bad enough on its own they have engaged in censoring and silencing criticisms leveled against them and blocked individuals looking to discuss their conduct on facebook. This police department is acting in an extremely concerning fashion and given their intolerance towards those calling them out for it I would not be surprised to see this department in the national news again on the receiving end of a lawsuit.
