Great staff! Friendly and professional! Take advantage of their HUGE e-Book, Audiobook and e-Magazine collections. Great Bookstore attached too! Hours have marginally improved but differ greatly from day to day, but that's on the County and not the Library staff. Board of Supervisors either doesn't know or doesn't care. And STILL no childrens programs. Disappointment continues!

I wish it was less loud in here. Every time I’ve tried to study here it gets a bit too noisy. I prefer the scripps Poway branch library. I still like the Poway library but I wish there were more rules for a quieter atmosphere. However, the staff are very kind and welcoming.

Closed much of the time. Nevermind what's posted online, or old reviews. Yesterday it was "closed for staff training." Closes an hour each day at lunch. Yet, they have a guard there all day long. Like banker's hours. Explains the permanent guard on duty. Maybe we can see him for academic information?

Latest: what’s up with all the people talking and doing business on their mobile phones? I thought this was a quiet place. Should be a rule to make calls outside. Previous review: Been here a few times. It's not a bad place to get some work done when you need a temp office, but the librarians could be nicer, though i admit that they have always been pretty helpful. They just don't smile much. Seems to be good for kids activities, but sometimes it gets too loud with that stuff. Good selection of books and media.

Staffing issues have prevented County libraries from extending their hours. I'm told that they hope to open soon, but no dates have been provided. The library was open on Saturday the 12th for a special event, and will be open again on Saturday, March 26th. I am NOT a Library employee, but I've been encouraging people to contact their County Supervisor about the Library hours. At the very least I'd hoped they would open Tuesday through Saturday to allow for people who work during the week at least one day to visit the Library and take their kids. I honestly believe that the Libraries leadership wants to open up, but staff cfg ing issues are really hitting them hard.

Go to www.sdcl.org to search the collection. The Poway Library is part of the San Diego County Library system.
Give them a call and they can tell you if it was turned in. If it wasn't, they can block it so no one can use it and run up fines on your account.
