I have been in the estate sale business for years and have seen dealers come and go, so I can tell you that AAA is the best in Portland to deal with if you are selling your gold, silver or other precious metals. Everyone is treated equal, everything is clear on what you have and what they will pay before you say ok. Very transparent in all their dealings. Very Fair. Very honest. In a world of sharks, these guys are a lifeboat.

I love these guys they're so kind as to check the metal content of some ancient silver art I had and refused to take any money for doing it . I would highly recommend them to do business with

Hands down the best in the business and the only place I will go. Worth the drive. (I live out in the boonies) Extremely competent staff and provide honest and fair pricing. I'm always made to feel valued as a customer and have never left unsatisfied. Thanks AAA!!

Honest, friendly, reliable and great group of people. Can be exceptionally busy but that tells you their expertise and pricing are exceptionally great. Highly recommend

Spot price is what silver is valued at at the close of the stock market. Currently it has been around 15-16$ per ounce
Currently, we do not have anyone we can recommend for recovering platinum from ore. Many outfits who mine platinum do this type of processing onsite due to the cost of shipping ore to a processor.
The short answer is it's up the buyer. I would invite you to give us a call. Our staff can ask a few questions about your material and let you know if it would be worthwhile to make an appointment.
We are currently $15 behind the market price for for gold bars. We update our market prices at least 3 times daily.
We are currently .80 cents over the silver market "ask" price for each troy ounce.
In order to refine with us you need to be a business - the only exception would be for public customers who have placer gold. We offer outright purchase of precious metals to public customers. Our refining process takes 1 to 2 weeks or longer depending on the type of material. We do not offer to refine while you wait. Companies that offer this use an XRF based assay - We use a fire assay which takes longer but provides a more accurate result. Beware of XRF based assay results. Search "XRF or Fire Assay" on Reddit for more info.
I'm assuming by raw gold you mean placer gold which is what you would get when out gold panning. We can refine this for the public - a minimum of 3 toz if need to refine placer gold. We melt and assay the gold to determine how much fine gold (24k) is represented in the material. We then pay the customer 95% of the fine gold value based on the current gold market. For amounts of Placer less than 3 toz can purchase it outright. For outright purchases we perform an XRF analysis of the material to determine the gold content. If the gold tests at 90% we pay %80 percent of the gold market based on the weight of the material.
As of 1/22/19 we are .80 cents over spot per troy oz. We update our spot prices three times daily. Premiums are subject to change.
The short answer is yes - we purchase gold and silver coins. Our coin buyer has years of experience and will evaluate your coins/proof sets to let you know if they have numismatic value or just scrap value. We are happy to do this for our customers at no charge and we never pressure you to sell. Our coin buyer is in the office Monday thru Thursday 8:30am to around 3:00pm.
Do you assay raw ore if it contains exceptional amounts of a gold or silver and if so what are your guidelines on that
