Our family enjoyed dinner here during a stopover returning from a New England vacation back to Atlanta. Our daughter loved the meat sauce and our son raved about his spaghetti with meatballs. My husband was pleased with the bulgogoi Mac n cheese and I liked the spice level in the Amitricciana. Service was friendly and excellent, even including recommendations for the ice cream place down the street when our son told the owner we would be going there for dessert.

Always looking for a restaurant with good homemade pasta, Pastorante did not disappoint. I had the special of the day which was a fusilli (rotini) with shrimp, asparagus, and sun dried tomatoes. IMO the pasta was a bit overcooked but it held its shape. The shrimp and asparagus, however, were perfectly cooked. I'm not a fan of sun dried tomatoes but those were easy to eat around (I didn't know they were in the dish) and the lemon creme sauce was light and flavorful. I also had the stuffed mushrooms with pancetta and mozzarella. They were okay. The mushrooms were flavorful but I couldn't taste the pancetta and there was too much mozzarella which was overwhelming. The absolute best part of the meal was the espresso creme brulee. It was AMAZING! I highly recommend it! With the perfect amount of coffee flavor, this was the perfect treat to end the meal. Stuffed mushrooms, side Cesar salad, pasta dish, and creme brulee = $36. Good value for the amount of food.

The menu is limited. If you love Italian pasta, you will enjoy this small restaurant short distance from the state capitol complex. I didn't see alcohol on the menu but our next table had a bottle of wine (BYOB??). It would be nicer if wine is offered. I had San pellegrino sparkling drink - sans alcohol.

I was really impressed by the quality of food here. We had the bruschetta and the meatballs with garlic bread to start. Both had great flavor. For the entree I had the special, which was a rigatoni with sausage and peas in a lemon cream sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce tasted fresh and light. Overall the flavors were that of a high end restaurant, but in a casual eatery. I will definitely return to eat here again. It's my new favorite restaurant in the area.

The restaurant wouldn't be able to hold that many, but they do offer a catering service. So if you can find a big enough space, pastarante's can cater.
