only my 2nd time going. It was nice. My husband liked the food and the kids menu had a lot to choose from. we will go back.

My wife and I took our 84 year old friend and wife to lunch for his birthday. No problem with the food, but the waitress was the worst I’ve had since I went to NYC 20 years ago. She only had 1 other table besides ours. She brought the drinks to the table, set them down and walked off. Came back to take our order and acted like it was a pain to take our order. Never asked how the food was or if anyone needed a refill on the drinks. When we left, there was only two ladies at a table eating in the restaurant, and one guy at the bar. She seemed to have time to chat him up. My buddy requested Sal’s, next time I will strongly suggest someplace else. We were there around 1:30 2/16/22 and spent $90+

You never expect to find great Italian food in Fluvanna county. No neede to go to New York, when you have Sal's down the road. Not only is the food is great and the prices are very reasonable. Staff and owner are always welcoming and friendly. I recommend their Calzone and Pizza. My better half loves their Lobster bisque. Eat in and carry out service available.

New York meal in small town Palmyra. Being from Brooklyn, New York, I was always accustomed the having a large choice of outstanding Italian restaurants within a short distance. One of the things I miss the most about NY is the variety. In central Virginia, that variety is just not there. Sal's has been open for awhile now but until tonight, we just had the pizza and heroes for takeout. (Both are excellent). Celebrating a special occasion tonight, my wife selected dinner at Sal's. We each had a cocktail to start off the meal, followed by a house salad that came with our dinners. We each ordered the Trio Pasta, which is Lasagna, Manicotti and Stuffed Shell. Added a side of meatballs to complete the meal I was really in the mood for the shells but changed my mind in order to sample a variety. Each part was covered with mozzarella, always a plus in my book. The trio was outstanding. If you asked me to pick a favorite I don't think I could. The food was delicious. The service was excellent, (and they were busy, too). The atmosphere very peaceful. An excellent restaurant in any setting, in small town Palmyra, a gold mine.
