This was a horrible meal tonight. I ordered fried jumbo shrimp, fries, and salad bar. Brother ordered popcorn shrimp, fries, salad bar. The jumbo shrimp.was nothing like it used to be. It use to be huge and they would be crisp. Not tonight the looked like ready to.eat shrimp that had been battered and dropped in deep fryer. They was dripping with grease an breading was soggy. The popcorn shrimp.was very greasy an soggy. The salad bar was very empty. This was the 3rd attempt for them. This was the last. Peer things are struggling an need to just shut the doors.

Franklin Restaurant is the very image of a charming local institution. It's the kind of place where there are regulars with favorite seats and the wait staff just might call you hon while a local radio station plays to fill in the soundspace. Charming, quaint, local, and cozy atmosphere. The food is better than the more cynical of you might expect. A step between a midline restaurant and a greasy spoon, you get good flavorful portions without ever feeling hemmed into ordering that one same thing every time. The specials change often and are always worth checking out.
