Deep in the side of the mountain is a mine that was hidden for nearly 100 years, but that’s not all you will find at Crystal Gold Mine. If you’re looking for an incredible family adventure rich in history and love for the origins of mining I highly encourage taking the tour. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and even our nearly 2 year old was fascinated. At the end we were given a lesson in panning and we left feeling so glad we had taken the time to explore this family owned mine. Josh was a great tour guide who was not only knowledgeable but interesting and wonderful with our daughter!

From Ohio, I Visited with my daughters in April while on a west coast road trip. We were the only three in the tour group. The tour guide preformed as though there was a large group. Very informative and comical. He did an outstanding job. Amazing people and friendly staff!

An absolute gem (pun intended) of a mine. Friendly staff, great tour guides. If you want to plan for gold, you'll want to get there earlier in the day (no panning after 3pm).

It's 6 dollars to pan for an hour per person, tours are 15 an adult, 8.50 a kid, kids 4 and under are free, panning is included with tour

The tour is accessible for normal size wheel chair and scooter for up to 85%.
It was mined for gold from 1879 - 1881, was closed for over the 100+ years. Come on in and check it out
45 minutes to a hour. If you can get the gentleman that's mid 40's is best. It's like watching a PBS tv show. He's awesome........

For staying they charge...$35 a day, $175 week, $350 monthly. Trailor hookups...has water, electricity and sewer. No bathroom, wyfy or cable at this time. Rates Vary due to discounts such as Vets, Senior discounts etc.. I think normal price is about $14 for adult.children differ.
About 45 minutes and the guy the gives the your is awesome with the kids. Plus retired Navy!!!
