I had the sea bass special and it was fantastic! Maggie had the fish tacos that were awesome as well. A medium sized margarita was $ 15.50! Ouch! But it was good. The service was great and gracious. The only thing I did not like was that there is no bar. We like to sit at the bar and socialize when we go out.

Four of us went there for lunch yesterday. We all had something different from the lunch menu and were very happy with the food, the portions, the service, and the price (around $10). We sat outside and it was very pleasant.

3 fried tacos for $20? I don't think so! So I had a $15 Taco Salad, which was very small and consisted of torn up head lettuce and maybe a tablespoon of unseasoned hamburger. I had not been to Mi Tierra in 20 years because the food was so bad way back then, but my friend wanted to go, so I went, hoping that the food had improved...it hadn't. I describe Mi Tierra as a restaurant that serves Mexican food for people who don't like Mexican food. Or don't know what Mexican food really is.

There were of 5 guys in our party, there for dinner without a reservation, arriving about 7 pm on a Tuesday evening. We were welcomed and seated immediately. Nice, bright Mexican decor. Much bigger and better furnished inside than I expected after driving by and not stopping hundreds of times. The 2 chili rellenos I had were quite large, served hot and delicious. I ate every bite. They've raised their prices recently (who hasn't?) but 20 bucks still seems a big high considering there was no rice or beans, just a bit of lettuce. I had a bottle of Sol beer with a lime (they were out of my favorite, Pacifico) and a freshly made inhouse and really tasty flan for desert. The total bill was about 38 bucks before tip. The service was quite friendly and consistently excellent. Plenty of free chips and salsa, with refills provide without asking. Bottom line a very good meal and a pleasant dining experience. In the future I plan to be stopping often instead of just driving on by.
